Vehicle Description Initially, the creation of the Plymouth Fury in 1956 was to demonstrate the excellent abilities of the Plymouth division and to produce an automobile that was not only stunning, but one that would gather crowds.
The Fury model was very popular with police forces as the car had top performance and great reliability.
Fast forward to 1965, and the Plymouth company introduced the Sport Fury with a luxury package which had a larger engine, performance upgrades, and a transmission that could handle extra torque.
This was the only year that it was offered.
The 65 model had aesthetic changes as well with horizontal grille bars and taillights that were rearranged.
For the 1965 year of production only 38,348 hardtop coupes were produced, thus making this Plymouth Fury a rare car and one that is very desirable.
The models for the 1965 Fury were the I, II, and III Sport Fury trims, with the Sport Fury being the top of the line.
It came with interior amenities and several V8 engine options.
