Vehicle Description 1966 was a great year for Ford trucks.
It was the last year of the fourth-generation production.
Styling changes were minimal and mostly cosmetic.
The grille was restyled with a more interesting look.
Also, this was the second year of the Twin I-Beam front suspension in which the two front axles had large radius arms that were similar to the twin I-beams used on 2-wheel drive, and, it also had coil springs.
This allowed for better absorption of road shock, and it also held the wheel alignment for reduced tire wear.
The new look for 66 was the Low Silhouette pick up.
This is a freshly restored 1966 F-100 Styleside pick up with red paint that is in excellent new condition.
All chrome and trim are sharp, most chrome is new as well as the emblems.
Body is straight and solid.
Interior has a black bench seat and black carpet.
The headliner is the original cardboard type headliner, and it is new.
Dash is painted red to match the exterior.
Paint on the dash is excellent and the instrument panel and trim are all in new condition.
The door panels are red with a black insert.
This is a nice accent.
Engine is the 352 CID paired with the 3-speed manual transmission with column shift.
This truck runs and drives with excellent performance.
Engine sounds strong and idles well.
The undercarriage presents as clean and new as the top of truck.
This F-100 will do very well at local shows and cruise-ins.
You will have crowds gather around to ooh and ahh and talk about the truck.
