Vehicle Description Chevrolet left us a great legacy that continues to be a big part of our classic car hobby today.
From 1955 to 1957, The Bel Airs were known as Shoebox models and is defined as the tri-five Chevy era.
While the 1955 displayed a more subtle design and the 57 a more flared design with fins, the 1956 Bel Air was a nice example of both styles.
This 56 Bel Air is a beautiful car that retains most of the originality and is in show condition.
Exterior is the very desirable Matador Red and Ivory, and it exhibits a top-quality paint job.
All chrome and trim are in excellent shiny condition.
The fender skirts have splash guards and the front has gravel and splash guards.
Tires are rand new radial wide whites.
The rear taillights have the original look with blue dots added.
Interior is the beautiful roll and pleat red and white (Matador Red/India Ivory) leather interior.
The digital dash is painted in the same red and the steering wheel and carpet are red as well.
All interior components present in show condition.
Car has an AM/FM original radio and clock.
Engine is a fuel injected 265 CID paired with a 700R automatic transmission with overdrive.
Upgrades include aluminum radiator with overflow tank, power front disc brakes, rear shock bar, new gas tank pressurized for the fuel injection), new springs, and an electronic ignition.
Only less than 1200 miles have been driven since the restoration.
This car resides in New York state.
Owner will consider trades for a 1956 Ford Crown Victoria or a 1965 Buick Skylark, car must be in the same show condition as this Chevy.
