Product Manager - Accounting

Job Responsibilities:

The Product Manager Accounting is expected to:

  • Oversees and implements product development policies, objectives, and initiatives as it relates to the Accounting product line.
  • Gather and analyze feedback from sales, marketing, development and the market
  • Lead our internal process to define the product strategy, roadmap and priorities for the Accounting module.
  • Monitor the status of development projects supporting new features
  • Conduct business-level verification and market testing of new features
  • Evaluates the potential and practicality of products in development
  • Become an expert on other facility management products in the marketplace
  • Subject matter expert on all of AMTdirect s products and how they are interwoven
  • Be a go-to person and strategic leader within the company
  • Demonstrates expertise in the industry s concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Deep knowledge of the Business Analyst function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function
  • Manage the decomposition of high-level product ideas into commercially viable requirements
  • Understand the business processes and requirements
  • Write, review and approve requirements documents and use cases for new product features.
  • Effectively communicate requirements to the Development Team
  • Work with Technical Leads to resolve implementation impediments
  • Attend planning sessions and daily scrums
  • Work directly with internal and external stakeholders via focus groups, surveys, and conferencing
  • Understand the technical flow behind the requirements
  • Provide product knowledge where applicable to ongoing development efforts and participating in daily status meetings of implementation
  • Communicate with customers, competitors, suppliers, professional organizations, or others to stay abreast of industry or business trends
  • Consult with Senior Product Manager to ensure agreement on system principles

Desired experience and expertise:

  • Bachelor s Degree from an accredited college or university(MBA or other Master's preferred)
  • Degree in Accounting is a must, CPA is a plus
  • A minimum of 3 years of software Product Management experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in Lease Accounting
  • Experience in Lease Accounting or Real Estate a plus
  • Experience with agile development processes and monthly or weekly product release cycles
  • Passion for web-based software products
  • "Roll-up-your-sleeves" entrepreneurial, startup attitude
  • Natural ability to relate to customers and prospects
  • Ability to work with different people across a team effectively
  • A combination of education and work experience may be considered

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
