Journey Level CNC Machinist / Strong Lathe Background Required
Advanced Industrial, located 20 minutes north of Charlotte in beautiful Lake Norman North Carolina, is seeking an Experienced / Journey Level Machinist with a strong lathe background for hire immediately. Established in 1995, Advanced Industrial offers a temperature controlled manufacturing facility with all new HAAS CNC Machine tools. JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary: The ideal candidate must be able to excel in a performance oriented, setup intensive, job shop environment. This person will be required to machine tight tolerance custom parts from blueprint drawings on HAAS ST10 CNC Lathes without supervision. Candidates must be able to write and change programs at the machine. The ability to program offline using Delcam/Feature CAM or Mastercam 5 would be a big plus. Machinists will also be required to create a list of required tooling needed for upcoming jobs. We are looking for a person that is HIGHLY Proficient at setting up and can efficiently prove out programs on the lathes. Moderate to high mill experience would also be great. Advanced Industrial specializes in relatively small parts out of High Performance Plastics, Aluminum and 300 series stainless in runs of 20 to 500
pcs with tight tolerances and finishes as fine as 16rms.
Salary Range $20.00 - $28.00/hr depending on experience and individual talent.
We are trying to build a split/overlapping shift from 7:00 AM until 7:00 PM. Some weekend work may be available under the right circumstances.
Good references required.
EDUCATION
Required: High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred: Trade School or college experience
EXPERIENCE
Required: 10 years of journey level lathe experience in a job shop machining facility.

o Machining custom machined parts in a setup intensive, customer driven environment.
oExhibit high proficiency with CNC Lathes.
oTraining operators.
oHelp keep machine tools clean and in good working order.
oMaintain high safety standards.
