Summary:
E-Rate Central provides consulting, compliance, and forms processing services for applicants in the federal E-Rate program.
The E-Rate program that was created as part of the Telecommunications Act of 1996.
The main goal of the program is to provide affordable access to high speed Internet access, Wide Area Network (WAN) connectivity, and networking equipment required to deliver these services to the classroom.
The program provides a discount between 20% and 90% based on the level of poverty of the participant.
E-Rate Central is an industry leader in the E-Rate consulting firm and provides a wide variety of services to its clients.
We have been providing E-Rate consulting services since the program's inception in 1998.
We have our 800 clients including small and large libraries, schools, and consortia.
We also provide consulting services to multiple state agencies including Departments of Education and State Libraries.
E-Rate Central is a company with approximately 50 employees with the main office located on Long Island in New York.
We have satellite offices in Florida, Louisiana, New Mexico, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, and Texas.

com Job Overview:
This job is for an in-office position in the Cornelius, NC office.
The Support Analyst is responsible for collecting and analyzing data for the federal E-Rate program, preparing complicated and technical forms, and communicating directly with the Directors, E-Rate Account Managers, other Support Analysts, and clients.
This individual will maintain a high level of professionalism in addressing account support issues while interfacing with clients on various requests for information.
The E-Rate program is a complicated program that can take multiple years to thoroughly understand.
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter that is looking for a potential growth opportunity.
The ideal candidate is interested in advancement, willing to learn the program rules and company processes, and want to take the necessary steps to advance to becoming an account manager over time.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Assist all members of the team as needed, including Director, E-Rate Team Leader, E-Rate Account Managers and all other staff Gather client invoices for E-Rate eligible services and perform an analysis of charges to prepare client for E-Rate reimbursements.
Seek ways to improve business process and provide suggestions to better meet the client's needs Prepare accurate and detailed reports for the team and the client Manage through completion all assigned projects with little oversight Communicate effectively with clients and staff Prepare and maintain E-Rate FCC forms and records and all supporting analysis Maintain and update client database and internal tracking tools Must have the ability to meet deadlines Receive, scan, and electronically file various forms and documents Work heavily in Excel, Word, and Adobe and demonstrate proficiency in using these tools Ability to manage work flow Must be able to multi-task, be flexible, and organized Demonstrate the ability to write professionally for all required assignments Assume additional duties and responsibilities as requested A basic understanding of telecommunications and networking is preferred The ability to learn and understand the compliance and regulatory framework of the program is important Demonstrate the ability to work independently and be a self-starter Desired candidate will possess analytical, divergent, critical and creative thinking skills Desired candidate will have a high-level of customer-focused entrepreneurship We offer competitive compensation packages, including benefits such as health insurance, retirement plans, 401(k) match and paid time off.
